Our Staff & Care Workers

 

At Lifelong, we place great importance on actively listening to and treating our clients with attentiveness and composure, valuing their freedom of expression and dignity, always.

We are passionate about education, training, policy adherence, and proactive measures. We equip our staff with comprehensive training on human rights principles, including fairness, respect, dignity, equality, autonomy, and diversity. This training is regularly updated to ensure our team remains informed about the latest best practices.


We have regular refresher training on infection control for all staff members. This includes comprehensive coverage of relevant policies and legislative frameworks, such as the Health and Safety at Work Act, ensuring that our team is well-equipped with the knowledge necessary to uphold the highest standards of safety.

Every care workers wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) during interactions with clients, and are required to wash and sanitise their hands both before and after contact, and all proudly strive to uphold the highest standards of safety and protection.
 

All of our care workers are DBS checked and are trained to Care Certificate standard and most have additionally studied for an NVQ 2 and 3. Additional training includes First Aid, Health & Safety, Moving & Handling, Food Hygiene, Equal Rights and Medication Awareness.
